Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about writing code, with several years' commercial experience working with technologies such as Java, JavaScript, React, Angular, Typescript, HTML/CSS, Python and C#, Devops combined with a solid understanding of how web technology works.
Comfortable with REST APIs and developing software to interact with them
Keen to work with the latest mapping, geospatial, cloud and web technologies
Familiar with automation, code management and deployment technologies such as Git, Azure DevOps, Notebooks and Serverless
Able to clearly communicate technical ideas to both technical and non-technical colleagues and customers
Experienced in managing technical teams
Your educational and industry background is not so important, but hands-on experience of Front End or full-stack development to solve real-world problems is crucial to become a GIS Developer. Knowledge of ArcGIS and developing software using the ArcGIS Developer APIs is desirable but not essential.

Technical Expertise:

Job Title: Senior BI Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Design and assist in the optimization of our Data Warehouse and Reporting
Manage data quality SLAs. This includes ETL audits, error handling and controls to ensure quality of the data and the ETL process
Development, testing and administration of BI models (tabular, SSIS, SSAS & Visual Studio)
Work with business users to gather requirements, conduct analyses and prepare specifications
Collaborate with the Data Science team to assist in advanced analytics capabilities
Define best practices and standards for the data modelling process
Drive standardisation of business definitions with analysts and business owners
Documentation of BI Models.
Explore and recommend emerging technologies and techniques to support/enhance the existing BI infrastructure

Skills and competencies Required:

5+ years’ experience in a BI environment (language: SQL, MDX, TMSL and DAX)
5+ years’ experience in database design, schema design, data model and data solutions
5+ years’ experience in SSIS, SSAS & Visual Studio
Strong SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries and stored procedures
Experience as a Tabular Model developer
